Hello, can you share with us what your name? My name is Elizabeth Walsh. Hi Elizabeth, thank you for being with us today. Where do you come from? Where do you drive from? East Redmond. Okay, East Redmond, great. I would like to ask you a few questions. Elizabeth, how did you feel before you come in to see Dr. Polzin here at the Bellevue Pain Institute? Well I had numbness in my hands every night and in addition I had begun to loose balance in my feet. I’ve had surgical operations and I don’t know how much that was an affect, but I had found that I had difficulty going down the stair without gripping my hand on the rail so I was aware of the loss of balance. And that was in your feet and your hands? No, my hands were just really numb during the night. And so you went through some surgery, is there anything else have you tried? Well the balance, I’ve been in a balance class for two years and I was going the wrong way. Oh my goodness two years of balance class and you weren’t improving? Well no I wasn’t. In fact I fell once in the class. Thought I wasn’t a good student. What has been your experience here at Dr. Polzin’s office and the Neuropathy Treatment? Delightfully my hands are not numb at night. I’ve almost lost all the numbness. I used to have it to the point of pain some times. And I am scoring much higher on the balance scale. And I don’t need to be measured I can tell that I don’t have to grip the rails going down so much, I feel more comfortable going down. I just use it as a guide to test myself, so that’s successful and also I have more flexibility in my feet. And I can kind of feel each toe, which I wasn’t aware of before. And I can walk more without ankle stiffness. Wow, that’s a huge quality of life improvement. So how do you feel now? Well, I feel very happy that I came here and I don’t know what else I can achieve because I am only half way through. So I’m looking forward to the rest of the treatment. What would you say to someone who was considering Dr. Polzin’s care? Well I would say what it has accomplished for me and being here in this setting you get into conversations with other people and almost everyone has had some measure of success. And testimony is a big thing for someone who has no other way to turn who has neuropathy. Thank you so much for sharing with us Elizabeth. I am happy to.
