Have You Been Diagnosed with Neuropathy?
Doctors often have a difficult time diagnosing Peripheral Neuropathy, because it isn’t a singular disease, but is a condition that could have many and various causes. It will require a full physical and neurological examination.
You may need to have such tests as:
- A complete evaluation of your medical history
- Nerve function tests that check the activity and nerve signal speed
- Blood tests
- Imaging tests
- Nerve biopsies
After the diagnosis
Once you have been given a diagnosis of Peripheral Neuropathy, that’s pretty much the end of the help that your medical professional can give you except for pain medication and advice to wear shoes and socks all the time.
They are unable to give you true relief from the burning, shooting pains, numbness, lack of feeling and coldness in your hands and feet, or help you with the loss of balance that you may be experiencing.
Unfortunately your life may change drastically as it becomes harder and harder for you to sleep or move around.
The good news is
There is help…We at the Bellevue Pain Institute are thrilled with the real relief that our patients are experiencing with our Low Level Laser Therapy that can actually rehabilitate the nerves. People are reclaiming their lives along with the activities they had resigned themselves to giving up.
